My family and I are distraught after a fire destroyed our Rochester Hulls home of 28 years.
Even more distressing is that we can’t seem to get our very important and necessary mail delivered to us. This consists of very important court and insurance documents and medical information.
Despite having PAID for and submitting TWO temporary change of address forms....both on line and via mail, we have had our mail returned to the senders as “undeliverable”
instead of FORWARDED to our temporary house as instructed.
This has caused us to miss important court happenings, medical updates, timely homeowners insurance documents, etc.
I have called in numerous times to correct this issue, but have not found or been told it is corrected and resolved.
I understand that staffing is short, but this is ridiculous!
The mailperson drove through our subdivision and though our sign was up that we had mail in our mailbox, did not bother to stop. What kind of miserable service is this. I tried to call post office, I get only machines. I have been supportive of more governmental support of USPS, but not anymore. Why should we be supportive? Can you explain it to us?
I'm fairly certain our mailperson has lately been skipping delivery of our mail (and our two neighbors' as well). Today and one day last week there no mail (no junk mail, nothing) in our mailbox AND the same with our two neighbors. That's not possible. Additionally, our DTE bill was not delivered last month and we received a shutoff notice. Yet,, the USPS wants more taxpayer money because, but-for the fact they are govt funded), they are bankrupt. We don't need a post office. Let's rely on UPS, Fedex.
No one has visited my residence 222 Reitman Ct, Rochester 48307 since Oct 16 for delivery and collection of outgoing mail from our mail box.I arranged a pick up of one Priority mail package on Oct 19 vide confirmation no MOC336847118 regret no one came . Kindly resume your services.

Been trying to speak to an actual person for three days and the wait time is ridiculous!! I’ve had my mail partially opened on two separate occasions and I don’t appreciate that!!!! So now, on top of them always running after 3 pm, I also have to worry about my mail being tampered with..unacceptable!
I mailed a bunch of Christmas cards at the Rochester hills location on the 19th and people still have not received their cards. A couple people just received them yesterday. The were all mailed at the same time and the people that live the closest did not get them. Very disappointed!
Very dissatisified with the US Postal Service. This is the second incident I have had in a week. First incident, they left a $60 package down in the road leaning against my mail box and stuffed another package into the box to where we had to rip the box open in order to get the package out. Yesterday, the mail carrier pulled up the drive way but was afraid to back down. Came to my front door for help. Not a problem, I went out and guided her down the driveway. I told her, she could park further down the driveway and just walk up and drop my packages by my garage door. Today, I was expecting a package and I received notification that the package could not be delivered because my front door was not accessible. Not buying it...I am sure it was the same carrier who is afraid of the driveway. I understand it snowed, however our driveway was clear, my husband had shoveled it....if she didn't want to navigate the driveway, she could have walked the package up. This is unacceptable, UPS and FedEx have no issues delivering to my house. If the carrier is afraid to make deliveries, then might I suggest a different carrier for this mail route.
For several weeks now we have had the wrong mail (usually a next door neighbors but sometimes further away) put in our mail box. Other neighbors have experienced this same issue. This has gone on too long and is becoming a frequent (weekly) event... very sloppy! Please fire somebody or at least train them better.
We purchased an overnight delivery of a small freezer for over $50 fast delivery cost. We were home and the delivery person just left a note for re-scheduling because of "no team lift available".
I think he didn't feel like getting the job done and leaving the slip was much easier.......
Now we can throw away our frozen goods. Thank you USPS
Do not tell someone something will be ready if it is not. I do not have a flexible work schedule so going anywhere to do anything is hard enough. However, I would think something that I help pay taxes for would be on top of things. They tell me to come in and get my key for my apartment that has my personal mail, yet when I come on the day to pick it up because i was told it would be ready, they tell me I have to wait another week. I don't find that acceptable. If this system they have isn't working it clearly needs to be changed. Not even a phone call?
I would like to request that either the outside mailbox and/or the lobby mailboxes move back the last pick up time to 5:30 p.m. (or 5:15 at the earliest). The current pick up time is 5:00 p.m. which is very inconvenient for businesses who are open until 5:00. I then have to wait in the customer service line to drop off mail that has been date stamped by ePostage.
